THE AESTHETIC ADHESIVE WAYFINDING SYSTEM FOR INTERIORS

Stepline INDOOR has been successfully established on the market since 2010. The system—including its profile and layout—complies with the requirements of DIN 32984 and has been tested and evaluated by the ABSV.

The DBSV concludes:

„Tactile detectability using a long cane was rated as good; detection with the feet was also possible. The version with ribs is sufficient for smooth surfaces. For rough surfaces or main path markings, the version with five ribs should be procured.“

The ribs and studs adhere permanently to almost any floor surface, including carpet, and withstand heavy use. They provide a tenacious, unyielding grip on both smooth and rough floors. They remain bonded in extreme heat and freezing temperatures, as well as in swimming pool environments and when exposed to chlorinated water. Cleaning machines equipped with rotating brushes and rubber squeegees pose no problem for Stepline Indoor. The ribs and studs can also be removed; nothing is left behind—no adhesive residue and no drill holes.

Stepline Outdoor

The system is also suitable for use in controlled outdoor areas. The initial installation in front of the Grimm Library in Berlin has proven successful since 2015. The ribs and studs adhere to natural stone slabs with rough surfaces without any significant limitations.

The intended use is crucial for outdoor operation; driving forcefully is not recommended.
